About Snohomish County, WA.
Welcome to the Snohomish County Trunk Radio System.
The radio system is a Motorola Type II SmartZone system and more info about the system can be found at Intercept Radio Wiki and Snohomish County Emergency Radio System. Also known as SERS.
Please read this FAQ prior to sending me questions. The FAQ will answer most common questions. However, if you still have a question or two after reading it, send a DETAILED email to snohomishcountyscanner (at) daronjohnson.com. If you send me an email asking questions that are already specifically answered in this FAQ I will not reply. The two Live scanner feeds include radio communications from SNOPAC and SNOCOM dispatch centers.
Follow the Snohomish County Feed on Twitter! I've added a Twitter page that I will send informational tweets out from time to time. You can also see the recent Twitter updates to the left.
With the exception of the encrypted Talk Groups (like SWAT), I can monitor anything broadcasted on the system. When a big incident is going, I will lock the scanner on that talk group.
SNOPAC no longer uses tones to dispatch the Fire Departments. So for us old timers that miss the tones, I put together an album that has almost all the tones they use to send out. Check out the site.

PLEASE take time and read this FAQ. It WILL either answer or direct you to answers for a lot of the common questions that I get.
